Effective September 29, 2026 · Last updated September 29, 2026
This policy explains what information Community Solar Representatives (“CSR,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use our website or services, how we use it, and the choices you have. Also see our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and a limited amount of information automatically.
- Eligibility and contact requests: name, email, phone number, street address, city, state, ZIP code, utility company, approximate monthly electric bill, and any message you include.
- Income-qualified and Lifeline requests: household size, county or town, which assistance programs your household receives, whether your household income is above or below the limit we show, your preferred language, and whether you would like help with community solar, Lifeline, or both. We do not ask for your exact income or collect documents through the website.
- Business inquiries: business name, your title, business address, utility, approximate monthly bill, and number of locations or meters.
- Enrollment information: if you choose to enroll, the details a community solar program requires, such as your utility account number, service address, and, for income-qualified programs, documents that verify eligibility.
- Job applications: contact details, location, experience, availability, your resume, and your written answers.
- Developer and partner inquiries: business contact details and information about your project.
- Automatic information: basic device and usage data (such as browser type, pages visited, and referring page) collected through privacy-focused analytics.
2. How we use information
- Confirm whether your home and utility qualify for an available community solar project.
- Prepare a savings estimate and answer your questions.
- Complete and submit your enrollment with the program and project you choose.
- If you ask for help with Lifeline, help you apply through the National Verifier or a participating Lifeline provider.
- Contact you by phone, text message, or email about your request, as you have agreed.
- Review job applications and communicate with applicants.
- Meet program, regulatory, and consumer protection requirements, including keeping records of consent.
- Maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
4. Calls, texts, and emails
When you submit a form, we use the contact details you provide to respond to that request by email or phone.
We call or text you using automated technology only if you check the optional consent box on the form. That consent covers calls and texts from Community Solar Representatives about community solar programs and your request. It is never a condition of enrollment, and message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time: reply STOP to any text message, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us using the details below. We keep a record of when and how consent was given and withdrawn.
6. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including program and legal record-keeping requirements. Inquiries that do not result in enrollment, and applications that do not result in hiring, are deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections and restricted access, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Request access to, or a copy of, the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal and program record-keeping obligations.
- Withdraw consent to calls, texts, or emails at any time.
To make a request, email Info@CommunitySolarReps.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for adults responsible for a household electric account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
